About

Over the past six years, I’ve worked at Canada’s top tech news publication, doing everything from news and reviews, to producing videos and travelling to events for hands-on coverage.  I’m a strong writer who’s able to break down complex topics into understandable analyses. I’m also an expert product photographer/videographer who can work on the fly. I’m a jack of all trades, covering everything from phones and drones to EVs and laptops and I can bring a lot to any team.

Work/education experience

  • February 2018 - Graduated from Loyalist College Journalism program

  • February 2018 -  Started as a consumer tech reporter/reviewer at MobileSyrup.com

  • April 2021 - Started as MobileSyrup head of creative. This added video producer and other responsibilities to my role.

Being a tech reporter for years had made me extremely analytical and a thorough researcher. Starting as a writer has helped me learn to work fast and process information quickly so I can turn it into posts. Moving onto video a few years ago has also given me excellent camera skills and I’m confident in both my photography, videography and on-camera hosting.

My other hard skills include podcast planning, editing and hosting and other social media related tasks like posting about content I’ve made and the occasional meme.

When it comes to my tech skills, I have a lot. I’ve always been deeply fascinated with the tech industry and how tightly it intertwines with every day life. This means that I’m extremely well versed in all kinds of products from cameras, to computers, tablets and phones of all kinds,
